Flat Pattern Final

In my Flat Pattern class, our final project required us to design and construct a complete look that incorporated a collar, sleeve, and pocket. I chose to draw inspiration from Japanese culture, driven by my deep appreciation for its style and the influential designers who emerge from the region. For my interpretation, I wanted to merge this aesthetic with traditional American materials specifically denim, a symbol of classic American culture. The result was a cultural fusion that blended the structure and minimalism of Japanese fashion with the rugged authenticity of the blue jean, creating a look that reflects both traditions.
