I recently had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with a brand owned by my close friend, Dillon Elam. Dillon is the founder of Fauna, a clothing brand known for its commitment to animals. For the 19th Annual Fashion Show at Miami University, we teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind sweatshirt to be raffled at Fauna’s trunk show booth.
The raffle was a fun and effective way to engage attendees and generate profit. Together, we manufactured a unique sweatshirt, which I then altered to enhance its individuality and value. We went with an intentionally almost ripped motif, featuring another layer of fabric bleeding through beneath the surface. Staying true to my personal design style I focused on clean finishing, making sure no raw edges were visible.
The motif itself drew inspiration from the spotted patterns found in Fauna’s branding, the natural elements that define the brand’s identity. The final piece stood out, attracted a lot of attention, and inspired many to enter the raffle. In the end, one lucky winner took home a truly original creation.
